Safeguarding

At Billingborough Primary School, we strive to safeguard ALL pupils, parents, staff and visitors to our school.

Safeguarding is of paramount importance at our school and we comply with the statutory expectations of ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (latest edition- see below). We also understand our responsibilities under PREVENT duty and all our staff have annual safeguarding training.

Mr Thorpe is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the school and Mrs McLeary is the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
If you have any concerns, please contact the school.

The Trust Safeguarding Lead is Becky Jackson. She can be contacted via email: safeguarding@citcademies.co.uk

Our safeguarding governor is Becky Jackson, please email the clerk: Ben.Butch@lincolnshire.gov.uk

In the event of anyone above being unavailable, please contact the Designated Safeguarding Trustee, Paul Tallentire on 03300 585 520.

Lincolnshire Children’s Services operate a telephone-only service. If you have a query or wish to report a safeguarding concern, contact 01522 782111 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm).
For out-of-hours emergencies, call 01522 782333.

Our staff and regular volunteers have all the required safeguarding checks and we have a secure and safe site. As a school we work hard to promote a culture of safeguarding and to respond to our local context. This is reflected in our policies and processes as well as in our PHSE curriculum and in teaching children how to be safe on line. We also provide information evenings to parents regarding online safety.
